A triumphant Saturday for EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory at Balaton Park, where Valentin Debise claimed victory in Race 1. It was a more challenging race for Federico Caricasulo, who nevertheless finished in the points with 15th place.

Starting from fifth rather than sixth on the grid thanks to a penalty imposed on Ferrari, Debise kept pace with the leading group from the start. As the race progressed, the French rider held fourth place, before moving up to third on lap 14, forming a trio battling for victory alongside Oncu and Arenas. In a thrilling final lap, Debise managed to get the better of his rivals with a superb overtake at the penultimate corner, thus securing victory. For Valentin, this is his third win of the season, his fifth in WorldSSP.

It was a difficult start to the race for Caricasulo, who finished the first lap in P12, slipping to P17 on the next lap. In the later stages of the race, Federico battled for points within a large group of riders, crossing the finish line in 16th position. However, the penalty imposed on Taccini allowed Caricasulo to gain a position, securing 15th place and a point.

Tomorrow, the EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory team will return to the track for Race 2, which starts at 14:00 CET and will run over 18 laps. Based on the top nine fastest times from Race 1, Debise will start from P4, whilst Caricasulo will start from P12.

Valentin Debise
"It was a tough race. I knew I didn't have the speed of the other riders, but I also knew I could maintain a steady pace, so when I lost ground to the leaders I stayed calm, knowing that something positive could happen in the closing stages. I thought I could fight for second place, but on the final lap I had the chance to seize my opportunity to win and I did. I had a bit of luck too, but I'm really happy because this is an unexpected win. I'd like to thank ZXMOTO and Evan Bros because it was a pleasure to ride my bike also today".

Federico Caricasulo
"Unfortunately, the chaos of the opening laps caused me to lose a lot of positions, and my race was immediately compromised. I was setting good lap times but it wasn't possible to climb the order: I'm happy to have finished in the points, but I certainly want to do better tomorrow".

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
"What a day! We went into Race 1 aware of our potential, but it wasn't easy to predict a win: Debise was quick throughout the race and shrewd in the closing stages, securing a victory that truly fills us with joy. Every track is a new challenge for us, so every victory has a special flavour. Unfortunately, Caricasulo didn't have the race he wanted, but there have been improvements, so I remain confident ahead of Race 2".
