A positive race day for EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory, with Valentin Debise securing seventh place in Race 2, which was marked by a few drops of rain and ended earlier than expected due to a red flag. Federico Caricasulo, who finished 16th, showed an improving performance.
At the start, Debise – who started from P10 – made up ground, finishing the first lap in eighth place. The French rider quickly joined the leading group, fighting with a lot of rivals. In the second half of the race, Valentin maintained a steady pace, preparing to play his cards right in the final stages with a podium in his sights, but the race interruption forced him to settle for seventh place.
Caricasulo finished the first lap in P18, holding this position until halfway through the race. In the following laps, the Italian rider gained further ground, moving up to 16th place, which became his final position due to the red flag. Following the weekend’s results, Debise occupies fourth place in the overall standings with 72 points, whilst Caricasulo is in P21 with 9 points. In the team standings, EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory is fourth with 81 points, whilst in the manufacturers’ standings ZXMOTO is third with 74 points.
The EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory team will be back in action from one to three of May at Balaton Park for the fourth round of the World Supersport Championship.

“Just like Race 1, there was no shortage of battles in Race 2 either. At the start, I didn’t want to take any risks given the tricky track conditions, then I started pushing harder to make up positions: we missed something for really aim high, but overall I’m very satisfied both with finishing both races and with the work done by the team over the weekend. Now we’ll have a bit of time to work, with the aim of improving further”.

“Looking at the weekend as a whole, I’m happier with what we’ve learnt than with the results. It was important to establish how to approach the next rounds. I crashed twice this weekend but fortunately I didn’t feel any pain on the bike, despite a small fracture to the little finger of my left hand, and with the major changes made to the bike in Race 2, I’ve realised which direction I need to take”.

“We certainly picked up a good haul of points this weekend: the target was a top-five finish, and we achieved that to some extent. Valentin could have finished in the top five again today in Race 2, but the numerous battles didn’t help. Federico’s race was better than the result suggests, mainly because the drastic changes made to the bike helped him, and that makes me confident for the future. I can say that this weekend has highlighted the speed of some bikes, so we’ll see what decisions the FIM will make regarding the Balance of Performance.”
